The past few years we’ve had some incredible trips around the UK and abroad. From visiting Plopsaland De Panne for the first time, to driving all the way to Dortmund in one day for Movie Park Germany, being there on the grand reopening of Nemesis, or flying out to Emerald Park for the first time.

This year we won’t have anything quite as epic as last year, but that’s not to say we won’t be doing some excellent stuff! In 2 weeks time we’ll be at Alton Towers for the start of the main season, then heading off to Europa Park and Tripsdril for our first visits. I’m especially excited to visit these two as they have some top tier attractions and carry a lot of prestige!

Then we’ve got the events to visit. Your Experience Guide is hosting Rita’s birthday in April, Love2Explore’s Coastal Velocity out at Great Yarmouth Pleasure Beach and Pleasurewood Hills. Attraction Source’s Accelerate event is next in July but tickets have yet to go on sale so I hope we get to this one!

Later in the year there is a glimmer that we may get out to as Parque Warner Madrid with the Your Experience Guide folks. If they can get the numbers needed, then we’ll hopefully be heading out there too!

Next up we’ve got the behind the scenes tours too! By this time next year, we’ll have seen Nemesis and Wicker Man in a new light, toured The Dragon at Legoland Windsor and seen what lurks behind closed doors on Vampire at Chessington!

In august we’ll be heading back to Portaventura for a few days to celebrate their 30th anniversary. Which is a theme amongst a lot of parks this year, Plopsaland De Panne is 25 years old, Europa Park is 50, Drayton Manor is 75 and Clarence Pier is 80! Looking into these anniversaries, I’ve now found out that Gardaland is 50 too. Maybe a Gardaland trip is on the cards…!

Then there’s the regular visits! Flamingo Land and Fantasy Island, Paultons Park, Clarence Pier, Pleasure Beach Resort and Drayton Manor too.

As for the spooky season, we’re hoping to head out to Plopsaland De Panne and Parc Asterix for Peur Sur Le Parc, a truly spectacular event!

We’ll be rounding off the year at Efteling, seeing the new year in at one of the most magical theme parks out there!

And that’s on top of buying our first home too! It’s certainly going to be a busy year this year and I cannot wait to get started now, this closed season is starting to drag!

Maybe we’ll see you there!
