The next stop on our 2025 holiday was Bobbejaanland, a park we first visited in 2023 and we both really enjoyed it but missed a few things the first time around.
This time, the park was hosting an event where hundreds of cars were on display. Everything from old American land barges, through to modern high performance vehicles and pretty much everything in between!

This was a bit jarring considering Bobbejaanland is primarily a wild west themed park and modified cars did look a bit out of place here but it was nice to see the park busy at the very least! There were some nice ones too but a lot of ruined ones as well…
The new addition for this year is a temporary exhibition called World of Dinos, which is set up in the arena at the back of the park and features dinosaurs. Another weird thing to have in the park but I quite enjoyed it.
They showcased the usual suspects, Tyrannosaurus Rex, Velociraptors and Triceratops, but there were a fair few lesser known species in there too such as Baryonyx and Abelisaurus. It felt as close to a Jurassic World Exhibition as it could get without infringing copyrights and I felt it was done well. It does stick out from the parks other theming however I’d love to see new theme areas that are different from Land of Legends and The Western/adventure areas.

As for the rest of the visit, we managed to get on all the bigger attractions such as Fury, Typhoon and Dreamcatcher, as well as El Paso Special, El Rio and Revolution. Revolution is a standout for us as it’s just so daft! Themed around time, it is a one of a kind Vekoma Illusion rollercoaster (as of July 2025). There was 1 other built but that is currently in storage and may never be built again. The train is obscenely long at 30 cars, meaning it can seat 60 riders per cycle which is nuts, and we love it!
Fury is still the best ride at the park in my opinion, Tracy will tell you different, but I adore the raw savagery of it and the choice of riding it forwards or backwards further elevates it too!
El Paso Special is another noteworthy ride, as this is supposedly the first interactive dark ride in Europe and possible worldwide too. Originally it didn’t keep track of your score but it has since been updated to include this at the end of the ride.
It’s best described as Sheriff Showdown on steroids, as it is longer and more action packed than Sheriff Showdown, but much like that ride, El Paso Specials animatronics react when you hit the appropriate target which gives you ample reason to re-ride it!
Typhoon was riding well considering it’s an older Gerstlauer Euro fighter (only the second model to be built) and I’m sure I remember it being a bit more thrilling? That’s not to say it was a dull ride, but I’m sure it ran faster and was a little more unhinged. In hindsight though, it riding smoothly and comfortable means it is an excellent gateway attraction for those wanting to try larger rides but don’t want something that’s too much. Typhoon, much like Galactica, looks a lot more intimidating than it actually is.
We also had a go on Aztek Express which is a Mack Rides Musik Express attraction and though I don’t particularly like spinning rides, this one was alright. It’s backwards cycle was actually better than it’s forwards one, which I was not expecting!

Naga Bay and El Rio haven’t changed since our last visit, but we did get a little more spin on Naga bay this time around. It’s still a decent Maurer Spinning coaster but there are better examples available!
The biggest improvement from our previous visit is merchandise! The park has finally gotten some pin badges and ride specific t shirts. We ended up coming away with a set of pins and I took home a Revolution poster too. Id love to see this expanded on so we get a few more pins and definitely some more t shirts for the larger attractions, but it’s a good start so far.

Food on the day was a Kapsalon and Durum wrap, these were priced between 13 and 15 euros and though quite expensive for what they were, the quality was there and they tasted delicious too. As for drinksz we had refillable Coca Cola Freestyle cups and we did have an issue with the chip not reading towards the end of the day, but the park sorted this without any issues!
So that’s our visit to Bobbejaanland, we had a great day, rode a lot of the attractions we were wanting to ride and enjoyed the park atmosphere. I would have liked it if the park had stayed open a couple of hours longer as 10-5 didn’t give us enough time to do quite as much as we’d like to, but we did what we could in the time we had.
